EBS is an inherent feature in Truclear SD2 and Truclear XD2 but needs to be entered in the Product Pricing section of MAX without it due to EyeMed making it a separate line item, and therefore a separate chargeback. However, you do not need to charge the patient for EBS when the lens solution is paired with a photochromic (Transitions) or polarization. When utilizing the elite vendor products of Varilux, you have the option of adding EBS for private pay and EyeMed on a clear lens. On the other hand, Eyezen+ and Eyezen Start have EBS but you do not have to charge the patient for this lens feature on EyeMed.  Note, VSP does not recognize EBS and there is no charge for this feature currently on VSP's formulary.
